An Italian dining room — not an Italian theme.
The brief was direct: nothing red-and-white, no Tuscan villa motifs. We drew a contemporary tribute — slow, warm, generous — that reads as Italian only when you stop to look.
Twelve plaster columns, a coffered ceiling.
Twelve sculpted plaster columns break the 320 m² floor and rise into a coffered ceiling. The columns are structural; the coffers are decorative. Together they cut the room into intimate four-tops with a clean sightline to the open kitchen.
Chandeliers drawn for the room, caramel mohair banquettes.
Bespoke chandeliers were drawn for the project. Banquette seating is hand-tufted in caramel mohair.
A 90-cover room that reads like 30.
Acoustics, lighting and joinery were tuned together. A full house still reads as quiet conversation.
